Time to get back on track.

Its only been a week since my last update but i feel like writing more to my nonexisting audience(cept the friends who are following me). I am beginning to use this blog not only to talk to my friends who are following me, but also myself. It is easier to see my thoughts and to get whatever i need out of my system without it really affecting anyone. Which is how i like it, expressing myself without affecting anybody, unlike those loud mouth people who has to get their point across to everybody. U know what im talking about, the ones that update their status or facebook with something like, "FUCK THIS SHIET" or "FML" or "WTF". No one gives a shiet about ur story and if you don't feel like talking about it, dont put it in your status, where everyone can see. Why should u notify people that you are angry or or sad, this only get people to grow concern of your case and cannot resist to be curious about it.
ex.
Status Update: John Smith is FUCKING ANGRY
Pocahantis: Whats wrong?
John Smith:I don't want to talk about it

Now what was the point of that? If you don't to talk about it dont announce it, simple as that. Let me ask you guys, have i ever let my emotions take me over? It seems that i am emotionless or calm most of the time because i do not let my emotions affect people who are not important to me. I hide it, store it inside of me and let it build, just like my gas after eating at chipotle. But unlike gas, my anger or sadness just goes away instead of exploding. I created an image of myself as a nice and calm guy. Sometimes people see it as apathetic or insensitive but thats how i like it. I do not let many things affect me as it does to other people. I can't understand why people are not able to do that and has to make a big deal of everything. Anyways enough about that. I didnt write all of this because of something that happened recently, its just always been a pet peeve of mine for a long time. Just needed to find a way to explain it to myself.

I am writing this blog in the middle of my 4 page essay. Now i am 2.5 pages in progress but decided to write in here to relieve some stress. School is the same, i am still spending more money on nasty over priced food at mason. I have been neglecting my summer resolutions which were:
-No soda/less Sugar (Had delicious rich Godiva Chocolate last night)
-No Fast Food (Had Papajohn's pizza, popeyes, Taco Bell, chick fil-a,)
-No Starbucks (actually i am successful with this one)
-No Bertucci's (Had pizza last week)
-No eating after 9 PM (ate 30 minutes ago)
-Have at least 1-2 hours of exercise daily
-Eat Breaskfast (this is still holding up too)
-STOP EATING OUT. (Fail 3 times a week)

I need to refamiliarize myself with this and get back on track. I don't know how much weight i got back after losing nearly 10 lbs this summer. Apparently an accurate scale doesnt seem to exist within my reach. Time to get back on my essay now. Only the draft is due so it doesnt have to be perfect. As soon as i hit page 5 i am going to save and print. For those who actually read this, this might be something new about me that i haven't really told anyone.

October Update

Wow school is going by pretty fast. Finished with the 5th week of school, about 1/3 through the semester. Im so thankful college uses the 10 point grading system where 90 and above is an A. Got a 92 on my Astronomy exam, 92 on my chemistry exam, but wtf, i got a 79 on my calc exam???? Calculus, after taking HL math, should be the easiest thing. I was so dumb cuz i made alot of stupid mistakes on the exam. I knew everything, so i skipped alot of class and i guess wasnt really preparing for the test. Oh and another thing, taking test in a cramp lecture class is the worst. It is so uncomfortable taking a test with someone 3 inches to my left and to my right. Also with such a tiny little desk. I could not stand it so i finished my test within 30-40 minutes and left early. Now the weather is getting colder and im still finding it hard to add exercise to my schedule. And i continue to waste money on food at school. This is not going as well as I would like. Life would be so much better if i didnt have a job, have loaded parents, and have a super fast metabolism and naturally get buff like black people do. Now im gonna save up and invest money in home equipments for working out. The gym at school isn't really fitting my schedule. Now just waiting for halloween and wanting this semester to be over....

Last September Update

Seems like i only update once every two weeks or so, so I probably wont get back on until october. This past week was probably not the greatest week I had, considering that I caught a cold. I also have been neglecting my daily exercise and have not been watching what i am eating. I've already had 4 buffet this month alone. Ill Mee Buffet, Blue Pearl Buffet, Southside (at mason), and George's, (Also at mason). That makes it once or twice a week i have overendulged myself at a restaurant. Maybe that is why i got sick, my immune system is down due to the junk food i eat and the lack of exercise and rest I have been getting. Well this has to change, i need to devote time at the gym few times a week. This week was also pretty bad at work, two girls got fired and I had to work 5 days a week. Next time they ask me i am just gonna refuse. I have to focus on school. I dont even think i did that well on the math test the other day, i thought i knew all the stuff so sometimes i would skip or fall asleep in class. This is quite a first month of college, now things have to change. This isn't highschool anymore and no one is going guide our every move anymore. Gosh i just wish the holiday seasons would just come by. This is one of the best time of the year, when we got Halloween one month, Thanksgiving +Black friday the next month, Christmas after that, and then new years. This is also the time of the year where I gain alot of weight. Hopefully not this year. I wonder how things will be like this year, now that lots of things has change. Still trying to get rid of this cold. And getting ready for my Astrology + Chemistry Exam next week. I will be back October.

College Update

Starting my second week at GMU, and i gotta say, its not that bad. Its so much better than highschool i wished I had graduated a year early like Dana did. GMU has a nice environment and lots of friendly people. No more of those noisy immature people that we use to get so tired of in high school. You know the ones that would throw food in the cafeteria, or just yell out rudely and walk the hallways like they own it. I don't talk to a lot of people at GMU but i talk to the same people almost everyday. Clubs are starting to meet soon so hopefully I will meet some more cool people there. I noticed that even though its the second week, classes are starting to get smaller and smaller, people just aren't showing up, especially today on a rainy day. Lectures are starting to see more empty seats...

So far I have not had any luck with the girls if any of you are wondering, I just have the wrong class at the wrong time. Its not me right...Anyways, my classes seem so easy. They are just a repeat of my previous high school courses, such as Chemistry and Calculus. IB didn't help me at all except how to handle lots of work. I hope to improve my work ethic in college by doing my homework early and during my breaks in school where I can concentrate more. And at night if i dont have to study, its Thanh time ;).

It really doesnt feel like school started yet, I guess im still accustomed to the highschool schedule where we wake up at 6 AM and get home around 3-4PM, with no breaks or fun inbetween. Another thing about college is that I am glad my parents compelled me to George Mason, where I dont have to pay for a dorm and food. I can't imagine living in a dorm with a stranger in a tight cramp room sharing a bathroom with the entire floor. Those may have freedom but they surely sacrifice comfort and money. Andre tell me what I am missing out on that could change my mind. So far, life is still good. Nothing to look down upon, and lots to look forward to. Its times like these I like take the time to appreciate the great things in my life. I absolutely cannot stand those who say "FML" and act like they are in the worst situation of the world. And there is always one every hour on facebook updating their status with FML. There are obviously people in worse plights than you are. That's all that really grinds my gear for the last couple month since that phrase surfaced. Good luck to everyone in their schools and I hope you are enjoying it.

An Empty Farewell

My To-Do List for college:
-Buy the rest of my college Books
-Turn in my immunization records
-Buy Parking pass
-Get sleep pattern back

Luckily my school doesn't start until Aug 31st, a week after most people. I still have time to enjoy some summer fun. Today I played tennis with the guys plus some hayfielders. Lots of phil's old friends from hayfield who play tennis often are going to Mason too, so I look forward into meeting them and maybe hanging out with some of them. I'm so broke now since I gave my dad all my money to buy books and such. My next paycheck, which will be like over 400 dollars, is all going towards my tuition for the fall. I am not gonna be able to do anything social for a while -_-. Part of me is kinda glad that im staying home, considering how many of my close friends are staying in the area. Also i have the support of my family to always be able to turn to. Cecilia the other day said that, if she is homesick she is not able to return home that easily since she is going to be in Ithaca, New York. But the other part of me wish i could go and live on campus far away from home just to feel the freedom and responsibility to live on my own. But one outweighs the other and im glad i picked it(or was forced to picked it by my parents).

Some people are leaving soon, but i'm not really sad about it. I notice on facebook and such that people are so sad over their friends leaving that they have to be so public about it. Of course I have some friends who are about to leave the area, but, its not goodbye. Its, see you later, alot later....Christmas time maybe. I guess im just use to not seeing people for a long time. Especially since after i moved away from Key Middle School and left all my friends. I didn't keep in touch with any of them, and now i forgot all about them, moved on to new friends. I guess its the same feeling that is carrying over now, i know im gonna meet new people at Mason. I just don't leave attachment in people like i use to. I remember in high school at the end of every year, everybody is so sad and wishes the school year wouldn't end. They get everyone to sign their yearbook, even though they will meet eachother next school year. After summer starts, i don't talk to most of my friends during the summer. There is no point of weeping for them when you will meet again. So for all my friends that are leaving, have fun and good luck in college. I won't really miss you but i wish you the best and i know we will meet again. If we don't, then farewell. People come and go, we just have to accept that.

This makes me sound so apathetic doesn't it.....

My average summer day

My summer days went through a pretty consistent routine. On an average day, i would wake up at 10-12, eat breakfast, go to the gym with trung and/or andre, and then play tennis outside in the hot sun. Around 5 i would have to report to work at bertucci's and work until 9 or 10. At night i would talk to Phil, Andre, Kenny, Tina, and few others on skype until 2AM or so. This was my day for at least 60 percent of the summer. Because of this i've lost 7 lbs so far since the beginning of july.

Some unaverage days were when i went to Myrtle Beach with Phil's family. We had so much fun and for the first time in a long time i felt so relaxed and stress free. It was one of my blissful days in life. I was so sad when we had to return to VA because I did not want to return to reality. But part of me felt like i was ready to go home at that time. Thank you Phil for inviting me to go with your family to Myrtle Beach.

Now I have to scramble and get ready for my first year of college. Need to start buying books, parking pass, and prepare for the future. Lately i've been working 6 days a week and it is heavily ruining my summer because I am missing out in so much. At least i will have money to buy the books i need and stuff.

Overall:
This summer is probably ranked in my top 3 favorite summer since i was able to do lots of things and have a more productive summer. I lost touch with lots of my friends from Highschool and its only been 2 month since we graduated. On the other hand I felt like i've grown alot closer to a couple friends and made a few new friends. Don't get me wrong, even though I have lost touch in those friends, im not really sad about it at all. Maybe its good riddance, maybe its time to depart. I'm only saying this because this is one of the few times in life i felt truly happy. Finally being away from some people have definetly change my mood for the better and maybe I should keep it this way. Like i said in my last post, life is good...
